CONSTRUCTION OF AMANSEA - AMAWBIA BYPASS BEGINS SOON - GOV. OBI

Governor Peter Obi of Anambra State yesterday said that his
administration would soon begin the reconstruction of the dual
carriage ways from Amansea to Amawbia bypass and from Upper- Iweka to
Zik Roundabout in Onitsha.
He said he set to construct the roads after he had secured the Federal
Government's permission to execute them.
Obi stated this in his New Year message to the people.
The governor, however, said his administration would consolidate on
the numerous achievements recorded in various sectors.
Obi said that security of lives and property would remain one of the
priorities of his administration.
According to him, his administration's giant strides in education,
health, environment, job creation and industrialisation would also be
sustained.
The governor added that local government election in the state would
hold on January 11, 2014.
He commended voters for voting the All Progressives Grand Alliance
(APGA) during the last governorship election in the state.
Obi assured that the party would continue to strive towards satisfying
the yearnings and aspirations of the people.
