AMANSEA COMMUNITY SEEKS PEACEFUL RELATIONSHIP WITH UNIZIK

The Amansea community, a neighbouring community to Nnamdi azikiwe
university, has sought for peaceful relationship and restoration of
unity with the university.
This was made known by the National president, Amansea Development
union (ADU), Mr. Basil Onwuzulume when he led some members of the
community on a courtesy visit to the VC recently.

The president General stressed on the lingering disunity between the
university and the community. The disunity, he said arose from
litigation on land disputes issues between some families in Amamsea
and the university. He added that the disunity has cut off the
community form some benefits from the university. Hence, Mr. Basil
sought for amicable settlement, adding that the community has agreed
to withdraw all court cases.

Responding, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. B.C Egboka represented by the
DVC Admin, Prof Greg Nwakoby thanked the members of the community for
their visit. He expressed satisfaction over the gesture from the
community describing it as a welcome development. He further thanked
the present executive of ADU for such an idea.
