The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (Anambra state chapter) has honoured the Managing Director and CEO of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, Mr Uche Nworah with the 2015 Professional Service Award.
The award ceremony which was chaired by Professor Stella Okunna, the Head of Department of Mass Communication, Nnamdi Azikiwe University also coincided with the Institute's 2015 Reputation Summit and held on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Suncity Hotel, Awka. Top government government functionaries were in attendance including the Anambra state Commissioner for Information, Culture & Tourism, Chief Tony Onyima.
According to his citation, Nworah was being honoured for successfully repositioning the Anambra Broadcasting Service in so short a time from being a broadcasting organisation to a media and entertainment brand creating alternative revenue projects such as the Miss Anambra Beauty Pageant, Anambra Beauty & Make-Up Expo, ABS Xmas Discount Market and Heartbeat Magazine etc.
