Truth is, this is the fight everyone has been waiting for.
The fight which will be taking place at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand, has sold out tickets off the two superstars of over $300million for their night’s work in the city.
Though the show isn’t scheduled to hold till another few hours into the night, somehow, it has already started with Pacquiao bidding to end Mayweather’s incredible unbeaten run when the pair meet in a super fight.
While we wait for that to happen, here are a few things you should know about the up-coming battle.
1. Time The doors for the arena will open for spectators to make their way in at 2pm local time, with the first fight taking place one hour later.
The main event, Mayweather vs Pacquiao, is earmarked for an 8pm local time start, but as always with these events, it could indeed be pushed later if the other fights on the undercard go the distance.
With regards to British time, the main event is expected to begin at 4am.
2. Money made so far Mayweather vs Pacquiao will be the richest boxing match in history.
The purse for the fight is set at $300million (£194,502,705), which will be split 60/40 in the American ‘s favour.
Assuming the fight lasts the full 12 rounds, Mayweather will be earning $4,994,681 per minute of action, with Pacquiao earning $3,329,787 per minute.

4. Where the fight is taking place. Arguably the most famous boxing venue in the world, the MGM Grand Hotel, has been selected to host the fight .
Mayweather is fighting out of Vegas and is widely expected to have the backing of the Garden Arena crowd throughout the fight.
The MGM Grand is based on the Las Vegas strip and boasts 7,000 rooms and 9,000 employees. The hotel expect 50,000 people to pass through its doors between Friday and Saturday.
5. Mayweather is being cast as the villain of the fight, a money-obsessed show-stopper who insists he is the greatest of all time.
