Don’t sell your vote because of rice and recharge cards - Cobhams

Lagos, Feb. 10, 2015  One of the nation’s foremost music producer, Cobhams Asuquo, has called on Nigerians to be careful of the choices they make as they vote in the upcoming elections.
The producer took to social media to stress that the 2015 general election was not about the APC and PDP, but about the wellbeing of all Nigerians.
He added that Nigerians should cast their votes wisely and not be induced by ephemeral gifts.
``The moment people sell their votes in exchange for rice, cash and recharge cards, they have automatically received their education, good roads, stable power and empowerment,’’ he said.
The versatile music producer further said that the word `change' should not be unduly trivialised by those using it as their campaign theme.
Cobhams noted that the word itself is relative, which could be from good to bad or from bad to good.
``Change is of value and it is done for the better.
He also said that being a musician was for a reason, and at times like this his voice is not for him alone; but for the masses.
