VC CHARGES STUDENTS' UNION EXECUTIVE MEMBERS TO BE GOOD AMBASSADORS OF THE UNIVERSITY.



The Vice Chancellor, Prof Ahaneku,FAS charged the members of the union to be good ambassadors of the university. He gave this charge at an interactive session with members of the union. The Vice Chancellor while addressing the students advised them to be models and positive in their daily lives. He also implored the students to be result oriented,accountable and transparent in all their endeavours. The academic icon enjoined the students to always protect the good image of the university through self discipline and respect for the constituted authority. present at the visit was the president, comrade Chukwunonso Ibe among others.

NASA 2ND ANNUAL LECTURE SERIES
The Nigerian sociological and Anthropological students association(NSASA) Unizik has held its second annual lecture series titled SOCIETY AND LAW MAKING PROCESS: THE NIGERIAN EXPERIENCE.
The lecture series was held at the university auditorium on the 3rd day of July, 2014.
The NSASA president, Comrade Ugwueze Sunday .I. in his opening speech said that the annual intellectual lecture series is an avenue through which they contribute to the growth of the society. In his speech, he humbly appealed to the honourable members that the association is in dire need of a mini- bus to be able to carry out some social work functions effectively and timely.
Also, the HOD, Sociology and Anthropology dept,Ignatius Nwankwo commended the President NSASA executive for continuing the legacy of lecture series laid by the past administration of NSASA. The HOD urged the students to listen attentively and grasp the content of the lecture and promised to set examination questions from the lecture series.
Similarly,the Dean FSS (faculty of social sciences) Prof.AU Nnoyelu urged the students to reap from the intellectual harvest of knowledge. After the situation about Mr.Alumona Steven, the paper presentation started fully.

In his lecture, on society AND LAWMAKING PROCESS: THE NIGERIAN EXPERIENCE, he said lawmakers are the representatives of the people.
A law can be passed without the consent of the president if two third of the house vote for a particular law. He concluded with the believe that the sanguine feature of any lawmaking process is the quality if lawmakers. A seasoned and reputable lawmaker is a recipe for acceptable and durable law. He bitterly complained of the fact that lawmakers sleep during the process of lawmaking. The special adviser to Governor Willie Obiano on protocol Hon .Everistus Obiano (Nwachimelieze) urged the youth to work hard and avoid cultism.
The state chairman Anambra state youth council Comrade Nduanya Innocent commended the effort of the present administration on youth empowerment through the creation of a website(www.anambrayouthconnect.com). Towards the end of the occasion questions were raised and Mr. Alumona did justice to them,awards were also presented and the NSASA presented a wonderful cultural dance.

    But one thing I love about this pro is his humility, I have been watching for sometime now he will be behaving as if he does not know anything but he does. I was asking my friends it seems this guy is afraid of people but the reply was something else. They said if he wants to attack you he will do it without mercy. comrd pls we need more of ur aggressive nature in other areas bothering our students like ifite house rent fee and also if u can continue keepin us informed . I know it is a great burden to u but try. I wil not write my name so that they wont say I am seeking for favor frm you.
