higher institutions in the state is in line with the policy to lend
support to all organizations and institutions domiciled in the state.
He affirmed that such support are regardless of whether the
institutions are private or public, provided that the services
benefits the people of the state.
The Governor who had extended the same support to
Paul University, Awka; Madonna University, Okija;
Tansian University, Umunya assured that all higher
institutions in the State would get theirs.

its staff and students.

first as a state university and later as a federal university has it
been the beneficiary of such highly commendable level of attention
from any chief executive of Anambra state; your excellency, if your
positive attention to Nnamdi Azikiwe University is described as
astonishing, then your relentless drive towards the transformation of
Anambra state, even in the twilight of your administration, could be
said to be both captivating and mesmerizing", Prof. Egboka asserted.
He further recounted Governor Obi's past donations to the institution
to include a Toyota Coaster bus, a Nissan Civilian bus, a Joylong bus
for the faculty of law, the rehabilitation of the Ifite- Amansea road
used mostly by staff and students of the university amongst others.
Egboka noted that through Anambra Integrated
Development Strategy (ANIDS), Governor Obi had
achieved holistic and comprehensive development of
the State, with every segment of the society
experiencing positive changes.
The President of the Students Union Government , Comrade Ibe
Chukwunonso thanked the governor for donating one of the buses to the
union assuring that they would work hard to justify the governor's
investment in the school.
Speaking at the event, the Director of Ekwueme Center for Multi

Governor Obi has accomplished his mission of re-defining governance by
putting the welfare of the people above every other consideration. He
expressed gratitude to the governor for donating a bus and the
generator to the center noting that this would encourage the work of
the center in all ramifications.
Reacting shortly after the event to the donation of two patrol
vehicles to the security department, the Public Relations Officer of
the department, Mr. Pascal Anyaegbunam described the gesture of
Governor Obi as a welcome development.
"This is a trail blaizing gesture by the governor. It is also a
clarion call to other friends of unizik to do same in other areas of
security need. I applaud our governor for his rapid response to this
logistical need of the security department, He said.
Now this is a bus worthy of the SUG and not that old scrap. Peter Obi has done well.
