ReplyDeleteATTENTION: The Office of the SUG PRO wishes to inform all students of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka that a school calendar been circulated over the social media is fake.
ReplyDeleteAccording to the PRO Comrade Ezenwa Obiora, after due consultation with the university authorities, he was informed that the university HAVE NOT release any academic calendar for the 2013/2014 Academic Session.
Also the school DID NOT release any calendar for the continuation of the 2012/2013 Academic Session that was disrupted by the ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU.
The information further advise students that any authentic academic calendar of the university shall contain all activities including resumption, Matriculation, University Wide Quiz, Revision, date of exams commencement and their closure and end of semester.
Moreover, The information disclosed that the only authentic information now is the opening of the university gate for lectures starting from Monday 2nd December, 2013 as stated by the Vice Chancellor and announced by UNIZIK FM in compliance to to Federal Government directive.

ReplyDeleteThis says it all! My mum agrees,my dad disagrees. If husband and wife still hv a diversified view on dis issue, dt shows Unizik is still in a big mess. Ok! VC wants d students to cm and face d exact scene we faced wen d strike was first announced. Fellow students, can U̶̲̥̅̊ honestly tell me how U̶̲̥̅̊ felt wen they were riding us abt d exams??? U̶̲̥̅̊ wake a day U̶̲̥̅̊ are supposed to write an examination nt being sure it's actually gon hold. U̶̲̥̅̊ get to schl, stay for hours and end up nt writing, or U̶̲̥̅̊ may be presented with sm kind of a crap and told to answer(an exam d lecturer himself may nt hv set). †ђξ whole thing was very ridiculous. Now they ve cm again with this resumption issue. It's very obvious all the lecturers are nt in support of d resumption,many deans inclussive. Just imagine d scenario where students rush back to schl this week only to meet a schl in 'rebel'.Security coming to check lecturers who missed lectures,deans coming to tell students to go home cos strike is still on, etc. Ppl like me who has an ardent supporter of ASUU as a supervisor what do I do? Meet my HOD to give another psn of course,whatelse?? Bt think again, d psychological and mental stress of adapting to a new superV starting from Chapter 1. Plus, U̶̲̥̅̊ knw am going to be rushed..dts if my HOD has d courage to change my superV cos this man is very very 'powerful'. Yea,powerful. I can go on and on.... The fact still remains dt unless dis issue of ASUU/fG is settled in d right way, there can only be one group who suffers dis most-STUDENTS! VCs are just saying 'RESUME' cos of their selfish interest(if U̶̲̥̅̊ knw what I mean), ASUU is saying 'STRIKE'-(selfish too,bt nt absolte), FG nko? Selfish and insentive. God!!! I don't even unstnd dis nation, ok ystdy GEJ came out to say he didn't gv d ultimatum... Who s fooling who? Left for me, since dis strike has lingered dis long, I'd rather say it carries on till all parties hv an amicable agreement. Simple! ReplyDeleteThere are differences within 1. "SCHOOL HAS RESUMED" 2. {(LECTURES HAS STARTED)} 3. *MY LECTURERS ARE PUNCTUAL* . If school like, make they resume. As long as d strike is still on, those that didn't write exams before vacation still won't write after resumption. Moreover your Jonathan has denied givin such threat about 4th december deadline. Will sit back at home until NUMBER 3 is confirmed. For now, #gently sipping my íjébú garri with dried kuli kuli#

ReplyDelete@gatty,looks like U̶̲̥̅̊ didn't get my point. Am nt saying am dt am nt gon resume. Am supposed to be a graduate by now but didn't write most of my exams. As a matter of fact, I will be d first to report to schl any day THEY say we should. But am just trying to let us knw dt these ppl are nt in agreemt and they will end up taking us for a ride. Called my dean ystday and he told me clearly dt there s nthing like resumption yet. U̶̲̥̅̊ see?. The whole thing is getting me sick, let dem agree obn sth and stop taking us for a ride. Using force on lecturers isn't gon work!!! Tnx
