IYAYI'S KINSMEN DEMAND N50BILLION COMPENSATION FROM KOGI

The death of the former President of the Academic Staff Union of
Universities (ASUU), Festus Iyayi, has continued to cause outcry in
the country and his kinsmen are not left out.

According to reports, members of Professor Iyayi's home community
speaking through their traditional ruler, Samuel Obade I, the Onojie
of Ugbegunland, are demanding that a compensation of N50 billion be
paid to the family of the late professor by the Kogi State governor,
Captain Idris Wada.

The former ASUU president died earlier this week in a crash caused by
reckless driving on the part of some members of the governor's convoy.

  2. 50 billion? Please someone should tell these relatives that ASUU are yet to agree to a few billions a year. Do they want to open industry with Kogi state or what?

  3. 50 billion naira in a lawsuit in Nigeria? The Family or lawyers that came up with this outrageous sum had better think twice.
