Is a leadership seminar more like camping. It is a avenue where rotary
sponsor youths to undergo training to enable them in building
diligence in service and more.
The third day of RYLA was the climax of the camping, it was a day with
the ever selfless, humble Executive Governor of Rivers State, His
Excellency, Rotarian Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi. The Governor in his
magnanimity provided buses for 500 RYLA participants after which the
participants took off from RSUST to the Governor's House on his
convoy, the governor and the participants toured to inspect some of
the project undertaken by the state government:
1. The art Model Primary School, Elekahai
2. Model Secondary School,
3. Afam power plant
4. Rivers State Soghai farm, here they had a lunch with the Governor.
After the tour, they headed back to their camp(RSUST) at about 7pm.
All 500 participants & committee members had the privilege to snap
personally with the cheerful Governor. The Governor sacrificed all day
to rotaract with young people. It will forever linger in the minds of
the participants. ROTARY IS GOOD.
