comprehensively on the issue. Make some explanations concerning the
asuu and management. Or remain on the fence that issue is very
sensitive. In as much as I don't want strike, asuu decision to go
strike has merit. And also, it will also be best in my opinion for SUG
to align with asuu...there are so many reasons...asuu and sug are like
sisters.
I dnt expect the president to rush in supporting the Management
against asuu, he should have called for peace...btw the two. He should
have played diplomatically in the interest of SUG...there is no
student's union that is strong without asuu being strong and truelly
independent.
Okoye or wat! Jux say d truth, u r not ready for d exam. For ASUU can goto hell.
ReplyDeleteMr. Ready, nobody wants d strike! Bt dat doesn't mean we can't recognise politics wen we see it being played. Truth b told: MR. PRESIDENT is takin sides wit d skul management.
ReplyDeletedats my distinguish colleague..nice on Hon.chibuzor,u av sponken like a learnered man.lets wait 2 see our president's nxt reaction.

ReplyDeleteMy Dear, I am prepared for the exam, am not afraid. There are so many things you failed and will never understand. Go and read my press release on the issue calling on the management to dialogue with asuu unizik so that the students will not suffer the consequence. I think I have to make my stand clear, the President shouldn't have rushed to support any group. The interest of the president should be the students. Supporting one group against the other, the students will also suffer it. That is why I called for understanding between the two groups.
ReplyDeleteGo and read the details of the strike declaration. You will find out that asuu is fighting a just course for the interest of the students. Better funding of the university to atleast 26% of Govt total budget, upgrading of the university and laboratory and many more. One out of them is earned allowance. But people are carrying that earned allowance to basterdize the strike action. If govt increases their funding, students will pay lesser or no fees in school. So for me the Govt is to be blamed. But being students, we don't want strike. We want to graduate on time...forgetting that we must all fight for for better Education system. If it doesn't benefit you and I, it will benefit your children.
So Unizik's case is just a case of fight for supremacy. One group against the other...
Ask your self why NANS hasn't reacted?
When ASUP went to strike, NAPS protest not against ASUP but against the Federal Govt, asking the Govt to solve their problem so that they can go back to school.
All blame should go to the Federal Govt of Nigeria.
Comrade Okoye Robinson
Vice-President Southeast,
ISAC
Our attention has been drawn to the issue that has
ReplyDeletecaused so much confusion among the majority of
students. The problem which is capable of affecting the
students adversely if not properly and maturedly
handled.
We therefore use this opportunity to call on the
Management of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka led
by the Able Vice-chancellor, Prof. B.C. Egboka, Owelle
Umuchu to handle the confusion surrounding the
recent declaration of Industrial action by the ASUU.
The student community has been thrown into
confusion by the two contradicting notification coming
from the Management and ASUU Unizik Chapter. Asuu
unizik chapter during their meeting that was held on
wednesday 3rd July, 2013 at MPH affirmed the strike
action. And also the news coming from the
management that Unizik will not join the Strike. This
has led to war of words between Asuu and the
management hence, causing confusion among the
students.
Majority of the students don't know which one to
believe. Many are afraid especially as they prepare for
their Second semester exam which will start on
monday 8th July. Some students are afraid especially
with the rumour that Asuu will disrupt their forth
coming exam.
So we believe that as students, in as much as we want
to write our exam in peace. We are still concerned with
the peaceful co-existence of all and sundry within the
school community.
We therefore urge the Management to settle this
problem with Asuu Unizik chapter before monday so
that we can write our exams peacefully and all will still
be happy.
We as students have enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere
within the school for some time now and we give kudos
to the Vice-chancellor for that and we will still want to
enjoy that in full.
We also recognise that when elephants fight, the grass
suffer.
God bless Nnamdi Azikiwe University
Signed,
Comrade Okoye Robinson Chibuzo
Vice-President South East,
Igbo Students and Alumni Congress.

COMRADE with due respect I have read the post n comments of yours and say thank you because this is the exact tin I said when I saw the statement made by the SUG President he is not supposed to be in support of any of the two parties, all his to do is to fight for that which will be best for the student at the end of the day because with the way things are going students don't want to see d truth all they are after is to write exams which I don't blame they for,but on the long-run we will surely suffer it more...
ReplyDeleteMr PRO or whatever, wen u I saw a sticker with diz site address on
ReplyDeleteit, I actually felt happy coz I thought modern days development
have finally crept into d UNIZIK SUG but as it stands now I can
statistically tell U dat u end up confusing an average of 1000
zikites everyday with this your baised news. I really don't know if
your fingers itch you to update this site every minute wchich
makes you upload any news that flys past those your ears. Let
students know 1st hand information and if you can't provide it
let them know there are lots of rumours flying about. Dnt just
wake up 1 morning and say exams holds 8th of july, the VC is not
your father, him heading the school is not a must that all decisions
stand, tell the students that there is still a rift between d
management and ASUU unizik chapter. 2ndly all diz news you
upload on entertainment, sports and co. Plsssssss they are not
necessary, you can't even give us good information on your
locality and u go as far as giving us news of celebrities living in
lagos and even outside Nigeria, can imagine reading about
transfer news on a school blog(crap), if students wants to read
football or sports news, your site should be the last place they look
up, this simply means you are not really searching for your news
you just check up other blog/sites copy amd paste. Tiwa savage
hair look for her ablum launch, where is the venue, date and
time???????. If u can't run a blog pls shut down, give us good
and reliable news within our local(UNIZIK), we know where to get
entertainment, sports news, transfers, fashion, etc
