On Saturday 21st March 2015, Director of Socials of life, of UNIZIK SUG, Comrade Alexander Nze alias Lanky led a team of Zikites to Aso Rock (Abuja) as they partook in the grand finale of #Pressplay career fair.
You will recall that in collaboration with United Mandate, Lanky had organised the #Pressplay event in UNIZIK which took place on the 9th of February; it was a social gathering aimed at sensitizing students and free tshirts were given out and an entrepreneurial debate was organised and the winners went home with 100thousand ,50thousand and 30thousand naira.
Lanky and nine other students from UNIZIK joined other representatives from other states across the Nation as they were hosted to a presidential dinner at the villa.
Hosted by BBA housemate and presenter, Ik Osakioduwa, the programme featured speeches from the Vice-President, Namadi Sambo, ministers, career talks, insights into the #Pressplay programme, performances from artistes including Kcee Limpopo, Harrysong, Oritsefemi and many other artistes.
Also at the event, #Pressplay ambassadors and beneficiaries were inducted. The representatives were beautifully treated and hosted in the FCT. The students say they had fun as they took shots with celebrities and personalities, received souvenirs from the organisers and also enjoyed live performances by the artistes that showed up.
Commenting on the event Lanky says it was a lifetime opportunity having successfully gotten UNIZIK to participate in the event organised by the Federal adding that they learnt a lot, did lots of networking and had fun taking shots with creme de LA creme of Nigeria Architect Namadi Sambo (Vice-President), Nigerian ministers, popular entrepreneurs, young leaders and entertainers.
They returned on Sunday 22nd March 2015, after what they described as a beautiful time in Abuja
