Reasons why FESSA ELECTION (30th January, 2015) should be cancelled-Comrade Gabriel Goodluck Chima

After the manifesto at the Big Hall (FESSA HALL), the
incumbent president announced to the surprise of
everyone that there will be anoda polling Unit at
Department of Fine and Applied Art which is
situated close to Faculty Of Social Sciences. Telling
the students of the Dept (Fine and Applied Arts)
who came to bakassi with two full buses to go back
to their dept to cast their vote.
After the announcement by the president, there
was an uproar amongst the students due to the fact
that it have never happened in the the history of
the faculty election.
I decided to go to Fine and Applied Art Gallery
Studio where the polling Unit is. To my surprise,
while I was there, the Departmental President of
Fine and Applied Art was campaigning right inside
the studio, telling his departmental mates who to
vote for. We the observers were agitating against it.
The electorates were not checked of their FESSA
Teller and School fees or FESSA ID card which was
the qualification to vote.
After the Voting at the Department, the electoral
agents instead of Counting the votes in our
presence, headed straight to a car with the ballot
box and paper. I, with my friend decided to follow
them to the car, but the Electoral chairman refused,
telling us to be going to bakassi dat they are right
behind us.
They were right behind us until we lost view of them
when they drove into Juhel Filling Station. We
decided to wait for them in front of Engineering bus
stand. To our surprise, we didnt see them for more
than 15 minutes... It was later we saw them coming
to bakassi...
As if that wasn't enough, when they came to
bakassi, they mixed the ballot papers from
Department of Fine and Applied Art polling unit
with that of Bakassi...
When we came back to bakassi, I saw some persons
casting their vote with ATM Card as qualification.
These and more are the abnormalies that calls for
cancellation of the Election.
