IMOKA FESTIVAL



IMOKA, the festival of the Awka people was held yesterday but Imoka is done in a day but two days. The part that was held yesterday was the part to pass information across to the first son or head village of AWKA, umuokpu that it is time for the festival.

According to information on our desk, the yesterday Imoka was successful, without blood shed but the question is, will monday's be? Monday will be the grand finale of the festival.

    I commend the Governor of Anambra state, Mr. Willie Obiano for providing adequate security during the visit to Umuokpu. This same feat must be done on Monday to avoid the same bloody tales of last year.
