Andy Uba told his followers at his hometown in Uga, Aguata local
government area (LGA) that the Chairman of the Independent National
Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Jega would be called up for
questioning at the senate floor by the senate committee on electoral
matters.
According to Senator Uba – who also chairs the senate committee on
electoral matter – Prof Jega has questions to answer over the gross
mismanagement of the recent gubernatorial elections in Anambra. The
Senator made the declaration following his attempt to vote at his
hometown in Uga.
The election in Anambra, according to available information did not
"go well". The exercise was plagued by mix up of voters register
belonging to towns.some of the sensitive materials were said to be
missing at the many polling units deemed critical to the outcome of
the election. Many would-be voters were also reported to not be able
to locate their names inside the voters register – and thus could not
cast their vote.
In other areas of Anambra, election materials were reported to have
not arrived before the 12noon deadline for accreditation. In parts of
Idenmili North LGA and Awka South LGA were reported to have not
received their election materials before the end of voting.
INEC has declared the election inconclusive and supplemantary elections will be conducted. This is the worst election ever. APGA supporters don't rejoice just yet.

APGA rigged d election but not in Aguata,not in Anaocha,Awka North,South,Orumba plus all the other LGs which I researched on. I was a party agent for APC(APC,yes)in my ward and to b frank with U̶̲̥̅̊,I was so ashamed wen they were counting d votes cos a vote for APC only appears one out twenty,while Apga collects atleast 15 out of dt 20. So tell me,how was d election rigged?? If rigging d election means knowing hw to get ppl to place their finger prints on ur party logo,then,I will say yes,APGA rigged it! What are we even saying? Having ppl's support does nt mean getting d loudest of cheers at events,it goes byond dt. Ask urself how many APC supporters actually voted on Sat? How many of dem hv voter's card? There s this gal in my lodge who is an APC fanatic,on Friday b4 traveling for d election,I went into my rm,brot out my voter's card and asked her to show me hers,she said: I don't hv but I knw dt ONWA will win d election'. I simply said to her: 'with dis in my hand(showing d card),it's one vote for APGA and none for APC. U̶̲̥̅̊ see? Most APC supporters are noise makers who are nt even eligible to vote. APGA would rather talk to a group of 10 ppl with nine voters card,but APC will prefer d NOISE of 50 okada men with one or no voters card,forgeting dt votes win election and nt noise. Pls my friends,let's stop all these mind killing propagandas against d Gov elect cos we are just insulting our intelligence and our state by so doing. Long live Anambra state!!
ReplyDelete@Anon 10:18, you made a valid point. I've asked around and the majority of people that confided in me told me that they like Ngige but hate his party. They also said that "how can we vote a party that bombed us in the North, Deported us from Lagos (West) and now want our votes (East)". This is a very wrong mentality. The dream of an Igbo President will definitely not happen in the nearest future if this mentality is encouraged. People should vote for a leader and leave party sentiments aside. Anambra still has a long way
