Chelsea midfielder Ramires has refused to be drawn on speculation
linking him with a move to either Real Madrid or Barcelona.
The Brazilian ace joined Chelsea from Benfica in 2010 in a deal said
to be worth €22 million, and has...
established himself as a first-team
regular under Jose Mourinho.
Despite that, stories continue to circulate that he is being targeted
by Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Ramires insists he doesn't pay attention to newspaper speculation, and
insists he is focused on giving his all for Chelsea.
Many people are asking about the supposed interest from other clubs in
my football but I don't know anything, apart from what was reported in
press," he told Lancenet.
"I am under contract with Chelsea and my attention resides solely in
keeping on doing the good job done at the club."
The energetic Chelsea midfielder has been busy during the
international break, appearing in both of Brazil's wins against
Honduras and Chile in the past week.
Ramires says he is happy that his country are building momentum ahead
of the World Cup on home soil next year.
"It's always better to win and thank God I returned home with another
fulfilled goal," explained the 26-year-old.
"We are in the final stretch for the World Cup so whenever I had the
chance to play I try to always do my best so I can assure my place in
the squad for this competition, which is the most important one in
Brazil's national team history.
"We played our last friendly of the year and now I am focusing again
on Chelsea until the next national team call-ups."
