CHARACTER MOULDING A MAJOR FUNCTION OF THE UNIVERSITY - UNIZIK PRO-CHANCELLOR

Character moulding has been described as a major function of the
university. This was made disclosed by the chairman and
Pro-chancellor, Unizik governing council, Air Vice-marshal Larry
Koinyan at the inspection of some university facilities at the Okofia
and Agulu campuses of the university.

The chairman while speaking at the Okofia campus, commended the
college provost for his effort at making thee college an enabling
environment for learning. He however stressed that more efforts should
be put in order to improve the standard of infrastructure in the
university, so as to make it suitable for a good learning environment.

The provost, Prof. Clement Ezechukwu expressed appreciation to Prof.
Boniface Egboka's administration for their support to the campus.

Some of the places visited around the campus include, the college
library which has updated books and journals, the biochemistry hall
built by Chief Michael Okonkwo, the college auditorium, the water
treatment plant built by the FG, amongst others.

At the faculty of Pharm. Sciences located at Agulu, the chairman and
other council members were also taken round the faculty. The dean, of
the faculty Prof. Charles Esimone thanked the council team for their
visit, and promised to work on their observations.
