ASUU NATIONAL EXECUTIVES VISIT UNIZIK

Academic Staff union of universities (ASUU) National executives paid a
courtesy call to the vice chancellor, Unizik, Prof. Boniface Egobka in
his office recently.

Welcoming them, Prof. Egboka ...
thanked the team for their visit. He
expressed that he has a soft spot for monitoring people, not
destroying them. He affirmed his stance as a humanist who believes in
helping people. Prof. Egboka recalled that during the military era, he
was once labelled a 'NADECO' member for his activism in ASUU struggle.
The VC concluded by saying that he would love to leave unizik a happy
man, hence his refusal to succumb to the pressure to hurt anybody.

In his response, the National Investment secretary of ASUU National,
Ralph Ofukwu commended the VC for making history by restoring ASUU
back in Unizik. He called the VC to continue to exhibit his fatherly
disposition in handling the affairs of the university.

Earlier in his own contribution the National Fin. Secretary, Prof. V.E
Osodeke sued for better understanding between ASUU-NAU and the
University authority.

In a vote of thanks, the DVC(Academic). Prof. Joe Ahaneku, thanked the
ASUU National Executive for the effort.
