THE UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE LEGENDS (4) - Chijioke Onyekwere

Clarence Seedorf

Win the Champions league once and you have already established yourself as an elite footballer.Win it four times and you will be heralded as a legend. You will seal yourself a fine little chapter in the annals of history.Accomplish this feat with three different teams, you become Clarence Seedorf.Nothing short of legendary.Born in April 1,1976,Clarence Seedorf played for Ajax,Sampdoria,Real Madrid,Inter Milan,AC Milan and Botafogo. He had the best of his footballing career with AC Milan.Between 2002 and 2012,he scored 47 goals in 300 appearances for AC Milan, and for his national side Netherlands,he scored 11 goals in 87 appearances between 1994 and 2008.In all his matches for his different clubs between 1992 and 2014,he scored 110 goals in 656 appearances,an unusual feat you wouldn't find among midfielders of nowadays.Regarded by many as one of the best midfielders of his generation,Seedorf was a complete, versatile and gifted player, who possessed excellent technique, ball skills, passing, vision, strength, stamina and outstanding physical attributes which allowed him to play in several midfield positions.

He was also an elegant creative player and an excellent dribbler and crosser of the ball, who could also contribute with goals due to his powerful accurate shots from distance.Seedorf is one of the most decorated Dutch players ever.He is considered the most successful player in champions league history as he is the first and the only player to have won the champions league with three different clubs-Ajax in 1995,Real Madrid in 1998 and AC Milan in 2003 and 2007.He is also the first European player to win the FIFA club world cup trophy with three different clubs-Ajax in 1995,Real Madrid in 1998 and AC Milan in 2007.Seedorf is greatly remembered for his two goals against Juventus in a 2-2 draw on 9 March,2002,both of which were superb long-range efforts. When a record is achieved,it usually takes a long time before another player beats it,but I don't think I will ever see another player win three champions league titles with three different clubs.
