If you are a Catholic student in Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka and you don't know Fr. Christian, the chaplain of St. Joseph the Worker Chaplaincy, then you don't attend any church event. He is not just a priest; he is a pastor, comedian, teacher, father and everything the students need in a man of God. If you are not a Catholic, try attending his service next Sunday and you will have a feel of what we are saying.
Last Sunday in his usual comic way of delivering his sermons, he harped on the need for everyone to give up something that is so dear to them in the spirit of the Lenten season so as to draw close to God. In giving an illustration with those who are addicted to drinking, the Man of God pointed out thus in Igbo language; "If are addicted to drinking, leave give it up. This is to prevent your coming back to the house after your drinking league and then standing in the middle of your room, you point at the light bulb and ask your wife if that thing is actually light because it looks like light." The whole church was agog with laughter and many really made up their mind to give up some of their bad habits.
To show his blending with the culture of the 21st century and to closely relate with his students, he takes selfies too...LOL. Of course you have seen it.
