In what will go down in the history of lodges at Ifite as the exercise of people power, the lodge mates of Sunco Lodge passed a vote of no confidence on their President and his executives for failing to bring the dividends of lodge democracy to them. They insisted he failed in his duty to make adequate provisions for water and settle the electricity issue in the lodge. The president as a sharp politician, quickly resigned before the impeachment was formally announced after a vote of no confidence has been passed.
This is where the comedy started.
Nominations were made for the post of Secretary/treasurer of the lodge but the lodge mates refused the nomination of a particular guy on the ground that he bets regularly in sports and may use the lodge's money to fund his account. Everybody burst out in a loud laughter and just as the excitement was dying down, the guy received a message that his last bet/predication clicked.
