Jonathan may not submit confab report to N’Assembly
The Senate leader, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, has said that President Goodluck Jonathan may not present the report of the National Conference to the National Assembly.

At least 21 people were killed in an explosion which ripped through a football viewing centre in Damaturu, Yobe State on Tuesday, Agence France Presse quoted a medical source as saying on Wednesday.

Arisekola Alao dies at 69
Are Musulumi of Yoruba land and billionaire businessman, Alhaji Azeez Arisekola Alao, is dead. Family sources told our correspondent that the religious leader died in his London home on Wednesdaywhere he had been since last week Thursday. He died on the day he was expected back in Nigeria. He was aged 69.

Navy releases 11 suspected oil thieves to EFCC
The authorities of the Nigerian Navy have handed over 11 suspected oil thieves to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
The Head of Media and Publicity of the EFCC, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, said that the suspects were released to the anti-graft agency for further investigation on Monday.




OAU shut over students’ protest
The management of the Obafemi Awolowo University on Wednesday announced the indefinite closure of the university following the protest from the students over the hike in the school fees.
