PANIC IN NIGER STATE AS WOMAN SLUMPS, DIES IN GOV. ALIYU'S OFFICE... FOUL PLAY SUSPECTED

There was panic and pandemonium in Niger State's Government House
recently as a woman identified as Hajiya Bilkisu Mahmoud slumped and
died after waiting several hours in the office of the Niger State
Governor, Dr. Muazu Babangida Aliyu. Insiders privy to the sad and
shameful incident are already suspecting foul play and pointing
accusing fingers.
The 46 year old Woman was said to have waited several hours to see the
governor but suddenly slumped in the office three minutes after she
was ushered into the governor's office.
She was immediately rushed to the Minna general hospital with
Government House Ambulance where Doctors confirmed her dead.
The late Hajiya Belkisu who was a former Staff Officer (SO) to the
Deputy Governor was said to be suffering from asthma until her death.
According to sources close to the government house, Minna, the late
Hajiya Belkisu was on a private visit to the Governor as her name was
not among the names on the protocol list to see the governor.
The late Hajiya Belkisu, a mother of three children, retired from the
State Civil Service three years ago and until her death was a staff of
the State Emergency Management Agency (NSEMA).
There is no official statement from the government as at the time of
filling this report but the governor was said to have hurriedly left
his office after the incident.
