Recently, Chris Okotie's Household of God church announced that they'd be holding pageant in the church this Sunday.
This announcement was greeted with mixed reactions from members of the...
public.
However, the church has taken to its official Facebook page to explain
the concept behind the planned beauty pageant.
The church explained that the beauty contest tagged 'Queen Esther
pageant competition' is geared towards selecting an ambassador for the
church.
The post read:
"The evening usually features the parade and display of beautiful
women in costumes inspired by popular female bible characters. The
contestant with the most creative costume is then crowned as the Queen
Esther and gets a cash prize of one million naira."

Nonsense. What does that have to do with spreading the good news?
ReplyDeleteMr philip, and who says someone won't get saved dat day too... D word will b shared.....a lot of tins are changing.... They know wat attract youths.. And if u don't bring some of these tins into d church in a way dat glorifies God, trust me,they(youths) will do it d circular way.......let's stop being religious and be christians...
ReplyDeleteThat's d problem with modern day Christianity. Very soon, people will stop taking bibles to church. They'll prefer to download it on their Ipads and smartphones and bring these gadgets to church. Girls will put on slutty clothes, guys will sag and dance in an erotic way in the church. If u question them, they'll tell you they're doing it for Jesus. It starts like this. What message does the pageant send across. If you can't serve God in a decent and worthy manner then there's no need serving him at all.
