REPORT ON TODAY'S ASUU/NAU MEETING

The meeting which started late due to an exam by Nigeria institute of
management (NIM) held in her proposed venue MPH, it however kicked off
by 12:00pm and ended by 3:00pm, according to our correspondent the
union agitated that the association VC's has no constitutional right
to end the on-going strike, either the FG or ASUU National has the
power to call-off the strike, and that the minister gave the mandate
without the consent of the president.

It was a loud meeting with mixed reactions.

The unizik chapter of the union however advised her members to remain
in the school community so as not to fall victim of any...

The meeting ended indecisively but it was obvious to everyone present
that the union was tired of the strike.

The chairman Prof. Ike Odimegwu stated categorically that ASUU
National are secretly in a meeting to end her rift with the FG, and
that the strike will not exceed nextweek.

The union debunked all rumours that Unizik has left ASUU, saying that
ASUU/UNIZIK has come to stay.
