CHRISTMAS IN THE AIR BY AGUBATA EKENE NNAEMEKA

Before now I used to be so excited about christmas because it was for
me a time where you meet with family and friends. Spend money on
joints: Nkwobi, peppersoup and some wine...guys
you know now! Beautiful chicks all around the
streets waiting to be approached and flexed. (Lolz) The fun associated
with this season is
wonderful.

Contrarily ,I'm not really keen about the
yuletide anymore not because it's not fun but
because after the celebration the reality of life
come starring you at the face: New house rent to
pay; school fees and other fees...etc. Most times
people spend their December salaries just to have
fun, by January they go borrowing and for the rest
of the year they go in sorrow. Pathetic or funny as
this may seem,it is pertinent to spend with care
cognisant of the fact that there are bills to pay by January.
Two years back a friend travelled to his
villa with enough cash and having flexed alot he
had no transport back ''Umunna'' had to
contribute money for him. As you flex my friends
just remember there's life(the real life) after christmas.
Besides,what really is the reason for the season???
