When d young prophet on a divine assignment 2 Bethel rested on his way back home,contrary 2 divine instructions,a number of things happened(1 King 13:1-31).First,d devil caught up wit him.Whenever u re on d path...

of absolute obedience, u re ahead of ur enemies.It is difficult 4 d
enemies 2 catch up wit such a fellow.It will require a lot more
effort,time nd other resources 2 catch up wit such an individual.But
if u re in disobedience,it is either u re @ par wit your enemies,or
dey are ahead of u nd u are d one striving hard 2 catch up wit dem.
Secondly,d obedience of d prophet in all other areas was nullified nd
he became known as d disobedient prophet.This tells us once again dat
one act of disobedience is capable of rubbishing several acts of
obedience.Never mix obedience wit disobedience! If you say you are an
obedient child of God,obey Him all d way.It is only when ur obedience
is fulfilled dat u can revenge all acts of disobedience in ur life.If
you are disobedient to God,why will d earth not disobey u?
Thirdly,instead of being rewarded 4 d area you obeyed,u will be
punished for d area u disobeyed.It is a terrible thing 2 rest before u
reach ur goal! When u re on fire for God,be extremely careful.There
are dose who would wish u were not as successful.Some people will envy
u and do all dey can 2 bring u 2 their level.Watch out for the old
prophets! This young prophet never knew dat he was a subject of envy
by d older prophet who had lost his fire,zeal nd commitment.Some of
such leaders might have backslidden nd may now be serving their own
masters other than God.The older prophet lied dat God sent an angel 2
void d original instruction he was given.Do not accept just any
prophecy 4rm any one,or anywhere.Test dem nd compare such prophecies
wit d word.False prophets abound with a mission of deceit and
destruction.Lastly,learn dat d fellow who lures u into sin may survive
it nd still have an opportunity 2 repent while u may not. Do not yield
to compromise!
