Nigerian football legend, Nwankwo Kanu, recently in Abuja signed a new two-year contract with global property company, The First Group.
Kanu has been a brand ambassador for the Dubai-based company in the last four years.
Chief Operating Officer, TFG, Rob Burns, spoke glowingly of the
contributions of Kanu, Nigeria's most decorated...
footballer, to mankind
at an elaborate occasion at the Transcorp Hilton.
"With the signing of this deal, we hope to continue our relationship,
which has been very beneficial, with Kanu," Burns said.
"We've been able to get involved with things he (Kanu) do like the
Kanu Heart Foundation. We need someone like him to motivate our staff
because of his personality."
Atlanta '96 Olympic Games gold medalist Kanu said KHF has benefitted
immensely from the TFG partnership.
Kanu said, "This is an extension of my contract with them (TFG) and I
appreciate their partnership with KHF.
"On Tuesday, they donated money for the treatment of three kids on the
waiting list.
"One of the kids on the waiting list died recently. We have over 200
kids on the waiting list and the more you can't raise money to treat
them, the more they are dying. So, I am happy for TFG's contribution
to the survival of our children with heart-related issues."
