Anambra State government is playing with the future and life of her
young citizens. I was driving past the back of the government house
today around the ministry of environment and I was moved to tears by
what I saw. More than 10,000 people were struggling, fighting and
tearing their shirts over a few forms to be employed into the civil
service of the state. Why didn't they upload this forms online for
these young men and women to fill it? Why did they give out the forms
last thursday and closed it this monday? Why is the government
treating her young ones with such impunity?
The picture you're seeing above is just a few of the many. Many broke
their legs and others their hands. In this modern technological and
democratically active day,why should the government be so barbaric? It
pains and every concerned citizen of this state must be embittered by
this dastardly action. How are we sure that these thousands will be
given employment? I weep for the future of these young men and women,
they have siblings who are looking up to them and people are expecting
them to settle down soon. Why must this injustice be metted out to
graduates of this state who spent many years writing jamb and
graduating from a quasi-tertiary institution in this country?
Finally, I will make a detailed report to the Federal Bureau of
Employment and file same to the office of the SFG. The dailies already
got theirs. If your own blood is involved in this, you will feel more
pain than me. But since I have no blood of mine involved, I will cry
out since I have the means. Still believing in my Nigerian dream and
the hope of a better Nigeria, I believe you'll get to the promised
land.
