DAY 4
Today is one of those days I feel so very happy and thank God for
making me a lady. Asides the many free air time,we are so blessed by
nature and I can't stop thanking God for making mea lady. Many a
times, when I look at my mother,I just pray God to make me as strong as
she is. A woman who gave birth to six children within the space of ten
years and is still strong enough to stay up almost all night to see
that we are always happy.
Men are more interested in putting the something inside and running
away, but the woman will bear the pain. She will stay awake all night
and pet the baby to sleep. She will wake up as early as 4am and start
preparing for the day while the man will be in the bed...shouting that
she should return for the nextround. She bears all these stress and
pains and still goes to work in order to contribute her quota to the
welfare of the family. She will return to the house very weak, yet she
won't give up. She will still enter the kitchen and prepare dinner for
the family and especially the husband who by now, must be chilling at a
cool spot with his friends. Little Junior will be crying and
disturbing her,she will carry him in one hand and be stirring the soup
with another hand. She just can't stop, she won't give up. She keeps on
believing that we will make her proud and succeed one day. When I look
at her sacrifices,I just can't afford to give up. Even when I'm
depressed and find it hard to move on,I draw inspiration from my
mother's efforts. She's such a darling.
And to my fellow young ladies here in Unizik, let's not give up the
struggle to become better. I believe we can succeed and become great
without giving away our pride and selling ourselves cheap. If our
mothers can go through this and still succeed,we have no right to fail
them now that it is our opportunity. With God on our side and our
continued efforts,we will achieve greatness in uncommon places.
