identification management commission (NIMC) for allegedly presenting
fake credentials during a ...
promotion exercise in Abuja recently.
According to the NIMC, it was learn during the commission's vetting
that some of the tertiary institutions contacted to verify their
certificates, confirmed the certs to be either fake, altered or that
their owners were not graduates of the said institution.
The arrest and interrogation by the NIMC officials is coming in the
wake of ICPC/ Nigerian universities commission (NUC) crack-down or
illegal awarding mills nationwide.
In his commendation, the ICPC Chairman, Mr. Ekpo Nta, applauded the
NIMC management for its zero tolerance for corruption in its workforce
given the sensitive national assignment it is charged with.
