1. The resumption date for the 2015/2016 academic session has been postponed by the management of Nnmdi Azikiwe University to 9th November for the new students and 23rd for old students and commencement of lectures respectively. In clarification , it was stated that the Federal Government's TSA (Treasury Single Account) necessitated the change in date. Please try and inform other Zikites.
2. The results of both the Direct Entry and Affiliated Institutions POST-UTME taken on Friday and Saturday (Last week) is out on the university's official website at www.unizik.edu.ng . Visit the website and check for your own result. Best of luck.
3. The matriculation for new students will hold on January 8, 2016 in line with the new academic calendar released by the university. Parents and guardians are advised to keep the date in mind.
4. The authorities of Nnamdi Azikiwe University have stated that payment of acceptance fees have not started at the banks. Newly admitted students are advised to exercise patience and always keep an open ear to know when it starts. If you've paid, there may be a window for refund as stated by the University's Spokesperson, Dr. Emmanuel Ojukwu some days ago. 6. The elections petition tribunal at different times last week, ordered for a fresh gubernatorial elections in Rivers State and a rerun in some local governments in the gubernatorial election in Akwa-Ibom State. In another news, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, the governor of Delta state has had his victory upheld at the tribunals.
7. The Office of Public Relations,SUG under Martin Beck Nworah (MBN) is putting together once in a lifetime mini magazine package titled "After School, What Next?" that will answer most of life's challenging questions concerning life and career. The mini magazine will contain 15 rich articles with beautifully laid out pictures and graphics design to aid in digesting the rich content of the magazine.

9. Over the past week, the Executive Governor of Anambra State Chief Willie Obiano commissioned the construction of a modern abattoir in Awka, the capital of Anambra state.
10. In no distant time, the retail stores giant Shoprite will open up a new outlet at Onitsha. The new store is located at GRA Onitsha, just beside the five star hotel under construction in the city.
