Is It School Hostel Or Elmada Or Youth Village Or Ifite Or Temp Site? -- Martin Beck Nworah (MBN)

With a heart filled with excitement and joy,I welcome again, our beloved freshest Zikites to the university of the moment. Now you've gained admission, the headache will be your clearance and accommodation. This is where Martin Beck Nworah, as your SUG PRO will humbly tell you a few things about our divergent places of living. Now you're here, next is to make the best out of it and it starts with getting the right place of abode.

First,we have the Federal Republic of Oringo a.k.a temp site. At temp site, you have over 50 hotels and four banging night clubs (Gaga, Lounge24, Hollywood Dreams and Cofi lounge) to keep the weekend well heated up. Students who stay at temp site study extra hard because it is the popular belief that oringo is in excess and you'll rarely have a quiet time to study. In Martin Beck Nworah's personal opinion, temp site is really a nice place to live because of the proximity of everything. You are assured of light, water and a ton of preachers to keep you close to God. If you want to study, you sure can do that 100 percent if you so wish. The buses at the bus stand are ever ready to take you inside school but as you rush towards the small buses, always respect this voice; "Leave the front seat". The prices of the lodges there differ according to the facilities that is being provided. Be careful about the agents that will help you in finding a place to live, make sure you pay the money into a verified account of the lawyer, care-taker or owner of the lodge.

Ifite is more or less the students "ogbe"(area). This is where you'll find the men "pasa na ogbe", where you can borrow maggi from your corridor because of the closeness of some lodges and where fries (and for some, that beans and plantain spot near school gate) sells more than Fresh point rice at temp site. A greater percentage of the students population reside in Ifite because of its close proximity to the school. As opposed to Temp site, you have a noiseless environment that is conducive for your learning and Garuba Square is also there to help out. From Martin Beck Nworah's view, watch out for older students who are masters of all courses. He will be in Economics but will volunteer to teach you Psychology because in Flavour's voice, "nwata bu authe...authe". The price of lodges differ as well according to facilities. Not all churches have their branch in Ifite but you can board a 50 naira bus down to temp site and seek the face of your God. Also be weary of the agents that will help you in finding a lodge, make sure you pay into a verified account.

Youth Village is in a league of its own. The students who live at the village say they have everything except that I can't visit my  girlfriends and enter their rooms. It is a capital sin punishable by "voooooooooooooom" from the village. Its a hostel that houses both male and female students in their divergent buildings. They have steady light (question mark), internet and other facilities to make school life enjoyable. A bus is always ready to transport you to school and bring you back at the end of lectures. And in Martin Beck Nworah's opinion, if you want to "shoki" over the weekend, make sure you return in time to avoid stories that touch. In all, the youth village is a nice place for your wholistic formation. To locate the village, stop at the Ifite school gate and board a bike to Amansea. Details will be disclosed to you when you get there.

Now we head to Elmada inside school. The freshness of the guys and babes there is still turning my head inside out...or maybe not. Some students refer to them as "milk students" because of the high level of comfort they enjoy. The hostel is inside school and has some pretty nice facilities to aid your formation in school. You can purchase the form for the hostel from the banks inside school and pay the necessary fees. The environment is conducive for living and you can easily get help from older students in terms of your studies and events on campus.

And finally,Martin Beck Nworah proudly presents to you, the "igodomigodo" of all the living places for students; The School hostel. This is the family. This is like living your boarding school dream over and over again. Its fun and crazy but we all love it. From here, you can trek to all parts of the school and still come back to enjoy your rummie's garri garnished with milk and groundnut. And for the records, the boys hostel is far from the girls hostel so don't  think about carpet crossing. The form for the school hostel can as well be obtained from the bank inside school.

In all, I am excited that you are finally here with us and as your SUG PRO, Martin Beck Nworah will try his best to always keep you updated 24/7. If you're a talented individual, be it writing, speaking, dancing, modelling, cooking, making your boyfriend's bed, etc, we have a plethora of talent shows and one-print magazines to give you a shot at stardom.

P and P is also across the school's main gate. It is managed by Catholic Rev'd sisters and has almost the same facilities as the youth village.
Always remember, we are here for all of us.

Till we get to the Promised Land, I shall be waiting for when you will pass me a glass of water and thank God for the gift of grace for the race.
