A fact that will never be disputed is that UNIZIK is blessed with students who come up with creative ideas on how to make our society better while studying to define their path in life. Recently, USN had the opportunity of sitting down with two young men who are the brains behind the UNIZIK Air refreshers and we were thrilled by their passion to make things better.

USN: Welcome gentlemen, we have heard so much about your entrepreneurial exploits and we deemed it fit to have you here today. By way of introduction, our readers would love to know your names and how you were able to come with this idea of a branded UNIZIK Air refresher.

 

 

 

Tim: Thank you so very much. My name is Timothy Nwachukwu while my partner's name is Ben Ugochukwu. The idea for the product came up last year during the long vacation. I went into deep thought and brainstormed on creative ideas that will help our community get better and the idea of a branded air refresher for UNIZIK came up. I got in touch with Ben and when he saw the practicability of the idea, he keyed into it financially.

 

USN: So you mean Ben is a gold digger who came to invest and "chop" without bringing in any idea?

 

Ben: (laughs) No no, that was not the case. He presented the idea to me and I saw that it was a really nice and novel business plan so I keyed into it by providing some funds for it. Trust me it was not really easy because at times, there will be conflicts arising from our different ideas but at the end of the day, we have found ways to still forge ahead and keep up with our work. One thing I am assuring you is that UNIZIK will not contain our story, Nigeria and the world will not contain the story of both of us since we have decided to act positively as young Nigerian students.

 

USN: The world won't contain your story as in what? mtcheeeew Story for the gods.

 

Ben: Sorry what was that>

 

 

 

USN: Pardon us...technical issues with our reply system. Indeed, the world is yet to see your best. So Tim, is this the only product that you guys have in your brand?

 

Tim: No. We produce wristbands, air refreshers, labels and several other branded products. The branded air refresher is the first branded product for UNIZIK. USN: At what price can the Air Refresher be gotten or is it free for all?

 

Ben: #200 naira only at any of our outlets. A little way of supporting our little effort to make our society fresher.

 

 

 

Tim: and if I may add, the #200 is not up to the money students spend on phone calls or reaching out to their boy friend or girl friend.

 

USN: From the way you spoke about this Tim, we believe you don't have a girlfriend. We can assign twelve to you right away.

 

Tim: If they're free, I will willing accept.

 

USN: What inspires you guys to keep on coming up with these ideas?

 

Ben: the desire to change the wrongs in  our society and make things better. This is just our starting point because I believe we have so much to do for our society to be better. For students, start meeting right people and read the books that will stir you into action.

 

Tim: Our educational system is basically wrong because it does not teach us financial education so its high time students become entrepreneurial. Perfect trust in God and having the right people around you will help you to succeed.
