In a broad usage. , the term global citizenship typically defines a persons who place their identity with a “global community” above their identity as citizens of a particular nation or place. The idea is that one’s identity transcends geographical or political borders and that the planetary community is interdependent and whole; humanity is essentially one

Global Citizens’ Initiative is a network of people who see themselves as citizens of the world and want to empower humanity no matter where they are found in other to create a better world.
A global citizen is someone who understands interconnectedness, respects and values diversity, has the ability to challenge injustice and inequalities and takes action in a way that is universally meaningful.
We use GCI to learn more about issues of the world, so that we can take effective actions for change.
