It was not the best of mornings for me because I rushed out of the lodge for my 8.00am paper and on getting to the bus stand at perm site, I realized I forgot my wallet at my lodge. It was less than five minutes to 8.00am and the paper we had that morning is one I have always dreaded in my entire life. If I decide to go back to my lodge, that means I may risk the paper and I never wanted to think about that. I was still in this dilemma when Clara walked passed me.

 

I asked her out a few days ago and she turned me down on the basis that I'm MBN's prodigy, she needed MBN himself or nothing else. I rushed up to her and pleaded with her to loan me 20 naira for that morning and she blatantly turned down the request; insisting I must part with MBN's number if she is to help me. I was still fuming when Fred alighted from the shuttle that just dropped him at the park.

I gave Clara a long hiss and raced back to Uchenna Lodge in the hope that I will get some extra sleep. Immediately I entered my lodge, I saw three guys standing at the corridor and seriously chanting.

The other guy turned and hugged me excitedly while proclaiming;

 

"Oga Maurice, Nairabet don pay oooooo"
