A fatal accident occurred few hours ago near the Government House at Awka. The accident which involved a long trailer belonging to Dwell Oil and Gas company and another trailer containing goods of Nigerian breweries. As at press time, it was not clear what caused the accident but it was not unconnected with brake failure and excessive speeding by the drivers of the trailers.

Men of the Federal Road Safety Corp were on ground to clear the goods and maintain free flow of traffic along the road which is currently under construction. It was not clear whether any casualties was recorded.
