Hazard signs new five-and-a-half year deal with Chelsea

Belgian international, Eden Hazard, has signed a new five-and-a-half-year deal with EPL leaders Chelsea, according to reports from the club’s website.
The midfield dynamo has been linked with moves to Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain recently, but he has put pen to paper and quashed speculation by tying himself to the Blues until June 2020.
The 24-year old midfield sensation has registered 13 goals in 36 appearances during the 2014/15 campaign so far.
“I am very happy to sign a new contract with Chelsea,” Hazard said. “Since I came here in 2012 I have always felt good and the club has been very supportive of me. I hope we can repay support from our fans by winning lots of trophies, beginning with the Capital One Cup at Wembley on March 1st, and after that, we can push hard towards the end of the season.”
Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho, commented on the Hazard’s contract extension: “I’m very happy that Eden has signed a new contract. It shows he believes in the club’s coaching staff and players to help him become the best player in the world.”
