YESTERDAY,the president of the students union government Nnamdi Azikiwe university, Comr. IBEH CHUKWUNONSO CICO presented the budget of the executive arm of the SUG to the Students Representative Council for deliberations and approval. The budget has lingered for months now and has hindered the executive officials from carrying out their duties as stipulated by the constitution. The amount presented to the house as the budget for the 2013/2014 session is twelve million five hundred and nine thousand five hundred naira( N12,509,500). It is waiting for the approval of the house. Meanwhile the house ably led by the speaker, Rt. Hon. Chekwube Okigbo, has scheduled to reconvene or to sit on saturday for deliberation and approval of the budget in order to assist in the speedy implementation of the budget and also to help the executive arm in the discharge of their duties.

ReplyDeleteWhy did it took him so long to present a budget when his tenure is almost gone, I pray for the speedy passage of the budget cuz money will definitely determine how well you will perform in every public office...only few who has not handled public office will scream at such little amount for the SUG when a faculty in other school presents equivalent to our SUG budget. Kudos to them please.
