SUPER EAGLES TRIUMPH IN CALABAR, BRAZIL AHEAD! AHEAD!!

Two goals from Victor Moses and Obinna Nsofor, Saturday, sealed
Nigeria's ticket for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil at the expense
of mouthy Ethiopia who crashed out on a 4-1 goals aggregate.
The Eagles playing before a capacity crowd at the U.J. Esuene Stadium
in Calabar, reputed as the cleanest city in Nigeria, struck first
through Moses from the penalty spot on 20 minutes and Nsofor who came
in for Moses, whose perfect free kick sailed beyond the Ethiopian
goalkeeper in the 83rd minute to sealed victory for the Eagles.

With the victory, the Eagles tutored by Stephen Keshi, a man of
history, became the first African side to qualify for the 2014
Mundial.

  1. Despite the fact that the Nigerian Super Eagles won, I expected better from them. They played like amateurs and lost many goal scoring opportunities. Congrats to them though. P.S, I hope they don't display this shabby performance @ the world cup.
