AGRICULTURE: A MEANS TO ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT - UNIZIK PRO-CHANCELLOR

Agriculture has been described as a means to economic development.
This was made known by the Pro-Chancellor, Air Marshal Larry Koinyan,
(Rtd) during an inspection at Unizik faculty of agriculture,
Ifite-Ogwari.

While describing agriculture as a tool for national development urged
members of the faculty and university community to make judicious use
of the natural endowment around the university, e.g fertile land,
water etc.

The pro-chancellor while dwelling on the importance of agriculture in
the country said efforts should be made at producing graduates who
will serve as entrepreneur in the agricultural industry hence reducing
the rate of unemployment in the society. Air Vice Marshal Koinyan
(Rtd) addressing the elders of ifite Ogwari re-assured them that in no
distant time academic activities will kick off in the community.

In vote of thanks the oldest man in the community, Chief Dominic
Ejike, expressed appreciation to the university for their visit and
promised they will do all in their powers to ensure speedy
commencement of academic activities in th community.
