PROF. EGBOKA RECIEVES NOMINATION AS PEACE ADVOCATE OF THE UNITED NATIONS

As part of activities marking this years international peace day, the
director general, international president, the country director! The
registered trustees of POLAC nd advisory council of the federation of
UNESCO have nominated the Vice-Chancellor, Nnamdi Azikiwe University,
Prof. Bonifcae Egboka as a peace advocate of the united nations POLAC.

The ambassador for peace appointment in the highest calling and
recognition to individuals whose lives exemplify the ideals of living,
for the sake of others and who dedicate themselves to the promotion of
universal moral values, strong family life, inter-religious
co-operation, international harmony and establishment of culture of
peace. The appointment encorages these individuals to be role models
in community services and peace making.

The appointment is in consonance with the UN General Assembly
declaration of the year 2001-2010 as international decade for peace
and Non-violence, UN millenium development Goals and UNESCO culture of
peace project.
