NO DATE FOR RESUMPTION YET - DVC ADMIN

The deputy vice chancellor, Administration of this great citadel of
learning, Prof. Greg Nwakoby has dismissed rumours regarding the date
of resumption stating that the management of the school is yet to
decide on that.
Speaking to our USN correspondent in his office, Prof. Nwakoby however
was sceptical whether the strike would or would not affect the
resumption of academic activities in the school.
Prof. Nwakoby appealed to FG and ASUU to be considerate on the plight
of the students and the educational system which he described as being
in a state of jeopardy urging both sides to shift their ground.
The former Dean,Faculty of Law asserted that the industrial action
embarked by the union is indirectly promoting private universities at
the expense of public universities. He expressed fears that if
adequate measures are not taken, the system would collapse.
The University Don further advised students not to see the industrial
action as a guarantee to veer off the right part in engaging in all
sorts of social vices and brigandage. He advised students to embrace
their studies and engage their time in meaningful endeavours
expressing optimism that in no distant time, the strike would be
called off.

More reports coming soon...
