Imaging deporting the igbos from lagos, I was in lagos recently and
someone explained what really happened, he said the state govt.
invited all hawker's (gala sellers of which majority are igbos,
bottled water sellers and others) to the secretariat promising to
support them with capital to help finance their businesses, it was in
an open field, the igbos (the hawkers) gathered at the secretariat,
according to witnesses, luxurious buses numbering about 40 entered the field; majority of the invited had in mind that the state government wanted to empower them with vehicles to make ends meet for themselves: here the reverse was the case. The gates where locked, Biometrics of all present were collected in their ignorance, thereafter they bundled the igbos one by one into the luxurious buses and drove to onistsha and dumped them there... Its a slap to the Igbo nation! How Wicked!,

ReplyDeleteDis story isn't all true..he needed 2 get rid of some people loitering d streets of lagos in a disturbing way...m sure warnings were given as regards dis b4 dis action ws taken...he doesn't take ani drastic action without giving warnings nd besides he already rendered an apology...he's one of d best governors @ least beta dan peter obi

ReplyDeleteBefore u guys begin to judge, Fashola doesn't just "deport" people to their indigenous states, he rehabilitates them, alerts their respective governor's to come n pick them up. He has been doing it for quite some time now. I was aware of when he did same to indigenes of Oyo and Osun. He sent messages and series of reminders to the Anambra State govt to come n pick up her indigenes but as usual, Peter Obi ignored all of them. For the record, he only deports destitutes and hawkers since hawking has long been banned in Lagos and major Cities. Why do u think he has not been sued? He followed due process. He's not a Senior Advocate of Nigeria for nothing
