ASUU STRIKE: ADAMAWA STATE UNIVERSITY TO IMPLEMENT NO WORK, NO PAY POLICY

Following the protracted strike by the Academic Staff Union of
Universities, ASUU, the management of Adamawa State University, ADSU,
Mubi has said that it is going to apply the "no work, no pay policy"
against the striking lecturers of the institution.
In a press statement signed by the Registrar of the University Mrs.
Jinuta M Garnvwa, the management of the institution has resolved that
it would no longer pay the salaries of striking lecturers of the
institution as the current strike by ASUU enters 90 days.
The statement explained that the management of the institution was
acting in accordance with subsection 4 of the Labour Act chapter 198,
laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 1990.

  1. But the FG should implement the 2009 agreement. Even if the strike is called off, there will not be any change in the system.
