couldn't have veered anymore off course if they tried.
1. Having lost in a poor showing against Aston Villa on the opening
day of the 2013/14 Premier League season, it seemed doom and gloom at
best for Arsene Wenger's charges.
2. But with a succession of victories now under their belts, including
a 1-0 victory over Tottenham and securing Champions League
qualification against Fenerbahce, and the record-breaking signing of
Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid, things are very much looking rosy in the
red half of north London.
3. Cue the claims that Arsenal will win the league.
4. Though talented and very much inform, Arsenal are still lacking a
few key elements that are usually needed to go all the way in terms of
bidding for the ultimate domestic prize.
5. They're good, but they're not good enough just yet. Next season I
fully anticipate Arsenal sustaining a lengthy title battle, but this
year I think they will fall just short.
