THE BLISS AND BURDEN OF BIG BREAST - BY OKONKWO SAMUEL

I fancy men whenever they fix their eyes, perhaps unknowingly at my
chest. At a particular occasion, a man careed of into a nearby gutter
while busy gazing at my galloping, yet big burst.
These were there true confession of a student of Nnamdi Azikiwe
University, Awka with a bra size of 40, considered in famine circle as
an extra large burst.
But while hers could be an exceptions there are those who do not
consider the possession of a big breast some things of a jocular
matter.
Its appearance could cause unpleasantly to such people. But is big
breast a burden or a blessing, particularly matrimonial?
From my psychological instinct, I think big breast could be hereditary
or the cause of a disease called LYMPHOEDEMA. Perhaps what
distinguishes a naturally big breast from unnatural one, is the size
and preporton in relation to the size of the owner.
So says my uncle who appear to be a medical director. Dr. Raymond
Owoefiak, in chat with me. Also cancer and tuberculosis could result
in the unusual enlargement of the breast, he said.
Rather than feeling proud of her possession, a slim final-year
student NAU with size "42" brassiere, said she is always shy when men
fix their eyes on her deliberately. The girl says some of her friends
used to advice her to go and slim down her breasts because they are
too big for her body.
She said none of her male age-mate have dared to talk about love to her.
Her boyfriends, on the other hand she said, are always thrilled at
the sight of her breasts. She all of them have passed numerous
pleasant comments on her breasts that whenever she is with any of them
she forgets about her problem.
A house-wife said she doesn't feel any burden carrying her extra-large
breasts which seem to have out-grown bra. She said they are source of
joy to her when she is breast-feeding her children. Or when any of
them is playing with the breast.
Going down the memory lane, the house-wife said her husband during
courtship, once disclosed to that he fell for her because of her
breast.
She said her mates have only teased her about the size of her breast
and none, has really castigated her on that.
Her problem with the breasts, she reveals, is when she tries to run.
She said her breasts flap furiously against her chest. And she sees
this as a sort of embarrassment when people gaze at her. She recalled
an occasion when she was running after a commercial bus, she said she
was oblivious of the effects until she heard some people laughing.
The men who like big busted women have their reasons too. A young
contractor said he digs girls with 'full' breasts because he would
have enough to play with when he goes to bed with any of them. He said
big breasts is one of the criteria he uses in picking his
girl-friends.
The question is this:
"Is big breast a burden or a blessing"?
