Still on Agenda of last Friday's sitting....
The SRC has passed a motion as sponsored by Hon. Oby Okeke for the
commencement of a Monthly Press Briefing And as at when Due from the
Office of The SUG president...
Whereas there is need for the S.U.G. President to have regular press
briefings with student press and other students who so wish in other
to keep them informed of the activities of his office and the SUG and
also give them a forum to interact with him on all issues that concern
students.....
It has Therefore been resolved and passed by the House,,..
Simply put there needs to be a forum to interact with the SUG
Leaders,,get information and question them,,they are accountable to
the students...This is the Forum.
This is not to undermine the office of the S.U.G. P.R.O. But
matter-of-factly, it is only Obvious That The Bulk Of this lies
within His Office as the P.R.O.
